What's New in Maintenance Manager for Education?
Release Notes 10.05.2026
This release includes the following features, improvements, and updates.
New Features
Assign a technician during work order creation
-
Admins can now optionally assign a technician directly from the final work order preview screen before submitting.
-
The work order moves to Assigned status on submission.
-
If no technician is selected, the existing creation behaviour is unchanged. Auto-assignment rules do not override a manual selection made at this step.
Source label on auto-generated work orders
-
Work orders generated automatically from a Preventive Maintenance schedule now display "Generated by PM" in the Requested By field.
-
Work orders generated from a Work Order Schedule display "Generated by Work Order Schedule".
-
Previously this field was blank or showed "undefined".
Advanced inventory management for Maintenance Manager for Education
-
Reorder Point and Inventory Forecasting are now available in Maintenance Manager for Education.
-
Admins can set a reorder point threshold on any part; when stock reaches that level, a low stock indicator appears and an email alert is sent to the Admin.
-
Inventory Forecasting shows the predicted depletion date for each part based on usage history.
Improvements
Filters will show all available values in Kanban and Calendar views
-
Location, Assignee, Asset, and Category filters in Kanban and Calendar views now show the complete set of values available to the user, regardless of what records are currently displayed on screen.
-
Previously, filter options were limited to values present in the current view, causing options to disappear when the date range changed or the view was empty.
Select parent category with subcategories
-
You can now select a parent category on a work order even when subcategories exist.
-
Both parent category and subcategory selection are supported in the work order create and update flows.
Work order workflow UX consistency
-
Reopened work order toast notification now matches the format of other toasts.
-
Activity tab on closed work orders now shows structured detail including technician name, time logged, and work notes.
-
Closed status badge now appears correctly in the work order detail panel.
-
Reopened tag is now visible in mobile Kanban view; Completed and Closed status indicators now appear on mobile and tablet
Bug Fixes
-
Date picker on emergency work order summary screen now shows a valid due date when downgrading urgency.
-
Long location names in auto-assignment rules no longer overflow the column on first load
-
Technician wage value is no longer lost when a work order moves to Closed status, fixing incorrect asset maintenance cost totals.
-
Closing a work order while attaching media no longer throws an error.
-
Deactivating a user in one organisation no longer affects their active status in other organisations
